On June 30, 2020, the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan E.Annamuhammedov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Turkmenistan Hugh Stanley Philpott.
During the constructive conversation, the parties discussed issues on further strengthening and expanding mutually beneficial, bilateral trade-economic cooperation between the two countries. They also emphasized the possibilities of developing partnership in priority areas, including financing and investment.
At the end of the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the Development of Sustainable Economic Development was signed.
