The representatives of the customs services of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea held an e-meeting

A video conference between representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Korea Customs Service was held on February 22, 2022.

This meeting was led by the Head of the Automation of customs procedures department of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan Mr. A. Rakhmanov and the Deputy Director of the International relations department of Korea Customs Service Mr. Kim Seogwon.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation between the customs services of the two countries. In particular, within the framework of cooperation in the field of the customs “Single Window”, sides underlined the importance of experience sharing, the improvement of customs control, automation, the introduction of new technologies and digitalization of the procedures.

Noting the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation and the success of the Turkmen customs service, the parties emphasized on the achievements of Turkmenistan in integrating into the world economy and opening new international trade routes.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
