The regular meeting of the turkmen-korean business council

On May 11, 2021, the fourth regular meeting of Turkmen-Korean Business Council has been held via videoconferencing.

The Turkmen side was represented at the meeting by the heads and officers of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Protection, State Committee for Water Resources, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other relevant ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan.

The Korean side was represented by the heads and representatives of Korean International Trade Association (KITA) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting the participants considered the perspectives of the bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in trade and economic sphere, as well as discussed the possibilities of further build-up of multifaceted partnership. In addition, the parties exchanged views on topical issues of international agenda.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of mutual interest. In particular, the issues of interaction in the fields of energy, transport, industry and water resources were separately considered. Also the sides discussed the possibilities of further development of the activities of the companies of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan in the spheres of ship-building and digital technologies.
