The issues of the implementation of a number of interstate economic projects, as well as the prospects for building up partnerships in the trade, economic, transport and logistics spheres, energy, agriculture, were discussed today by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan with Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan who arrived in Ashgabat on a work trip, reports State News Agency.
During the meeting, a high assessment was given to the level and dynamics of the development of interstate dialogue, an exchange of views took place on a wide range of cooperation, including within the framework of authoritative international organizations.
When discussing issues of cross-border cooperation, they touched upon the development of the transit potential of neighboring states, the implementation of energy projects actively promoted by Turkmenistan. The importance of deepening interaction in ensuring global energy security, consolidating efforts in addressing environmental problems was mentioned.
It was noted that in the light of modern realities, one of the topical vectors of cooperation is the field of ecology, where Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan interact, in particular, within the framework of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS), special attention is also paid to the addition of efforts to resolve Caspian issues.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan confirmed the commitment of the two countries to the comprehensive development of interstate relations.
