The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates Ahmed Alhai Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli.

During the talk, R.Meredov congratulated the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates with the appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in the diplomatic assignment.

The parties considered the important aspects of cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The sides underlined mutual interest in further development of the established productive dialogue and discussed the issues of the bilateral partnership in the fields of energy, transport, communications, construction, agriculture and ecology.

The positive experience of cooperation as well as significance of mutual support of international undertakings and initiatives within the framework of authoritative regional and international organizations, primarily the UN, has been discussed separately.

Diplomats underlined the importance of further development and strengthening of the ties between two states where there is solid potential for mutual implementation. Additionally, it was mentioned that Turkmenistan plans to take part in the World Exhibition “EXPO-2020” which will be held in Dubai.

In the framework of the meeting, Ambassador Ahmed Alhai Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli presented to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the copies of his credentials and noted that he will make every effort for further expansion of Turkmen-Emirates relations.
