Study of the United States Institutes (SUSI) for Scholars is an intensive post-graduate level academic program with integrated study tours whose purpose is to provide foreign scholars and university faculty the opportunity to deepen their understanding of U.S. society, culture, values, and institutions. The ultimate goal of the Institutes is to strengthen curricula and to enhance the quality of teaching about the United States in universities and other academic institutions abroad.
The 2021 program for scholars and university instructors will have a hybrid format – a virtual component taking place from June through August 2021, and a two-week, in-person component that will take place in the United States in fall 2021 or winter 2022, contingent upon health, safety, and travel conditions. Exact dates will be determined at a later time.
Deadline for applications is March 12, 2021.
