President of Turkmenistan Holds State Security Council Meeting

President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting of the State Security Council. During the meeting, the results of the work carried out by the country’s military and law enforcement agencies in January were reviewed. First, the Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense, B. Gündogdıyev, presented a report on the activities conducted under the program for the development of Turkmenistan’s Armed Forces. The report included information on the implementation of directives aimed at strengthening the country’s defense capabilities, as well as the military and social facilities inaugurated on the occasion of Defenders of the Fatherland Day.

Additionally, Attorney General B. Muhammedov provided insights into the mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of legal regulations, the expansion of digital systems, and the strengthening of the infrastructure of the prosecution bodies. Minister of Internal Affairs M. Hydyrow reported on efforts to maintain public order, prevent illegal activities, and equip law enforcement agencies with modern equipment. The President of Turkmenistan emphasized that ensuring legal order and protecting citizens’ rights remain key priorities and issued specific instructions to the relevant institutions. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of increasing accident prevention measures and conducting regular awareness campaigns on fire safety.
