On February 7, 2022, the presentation of the book of the respected President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Traditions of Turkmen Statehood” in Korean language took place in the conference hall of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi.
The event was attended by rectors, faculty and students of the capital’s universities, editors and journalists of local media, as well as representatives of the Republic of Korea via videoconferencing.
Rector of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi M.Kulieva, rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan J.Gurbangeldiyev, rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development E.Aydogdyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan Shin Sung-chul, editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Turkmenistan” K.Rejepov, professors and teachers of the country’s universities made their presentations.
In addition, Director of the Secretariat of the Central Asia-Korea Cooperation Forum Lee Jong Guk and Head of the Central Asia-Korea Friendship Association Lee Ok Ryon spoke at the event via video link.
Speaking about the importance of this work of the President of Turkmenistan, the speakers emphasized the special significance of the historical, ethical and social values contained in the book. It was also noted that this book by the President of Turkmenistan would enable the Korean people to learn more about Turkmenistan and help to comprehensively develop public diplomacy between the peoples of the countries of the world.
Highlighting the anniversary date – the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the participants noted the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The speakers also noted that this book has become another addition to the history of Turkmen-Korean friendly relations.
At the end of the event, the participants adopted an Address to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
