Japan plans to strengthen its partnership with Central Asian countries at the Summit in Kazakhstan’s Astana, a source at the Japanese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan told Trend.

He intends to further deepen the partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation that have been built up to date,” the embassy stated.

The source noted that the prime minister plans to use this opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with leaders from Central Asia, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

“The focus will be on bilateral cooperation and engagement on the international stage, as well as strengthening relations across various fields,” the embassy emphasized.

The Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, will visit Kazakhstan for the “Central Asia + Japan” Summit from August 9–10 and then travel to Uzbekistan from August 10–11.
