High-level Turkmen-Azerbaijan negotiations were held in Ashgabat

On 22nd of November, 2018, in Ashgabat there were high-level meeting of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who has arrived to Turkmenistan with official visit.

During the negotiations the Heads of the two countries discussed the present state and future prospects of Turkmen-Azerbaijan cooperation and exchanged their views on issues, related to the international and regional agendas. Special attention was paid to the questions of bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, energy, trade, industry and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Then the talks were held in an expanded composition with a participation of the official delegations of two countries. During the friendly and active dialog the sides discussed broad range of issues of Turkmen-Azerbaijan relations and paid attention to the present state of cooperation and its’ perspectives in future.

After the end of the meetings the Heads of states have signed a “The Joint Declaration of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev”.

Then there was a ceremony of signing the bilateral documents between the ministries and organizations of two countries in economics, trade, industry, transport, customs and cultural-humanitarian sphere.

After the end of signing ceremony the Leaders of the two countries made an address to the representatives of the mass media.
