First Global Challenge 2025: Turkmenistan schoolchildren win first place

Our schoolchildren from country achieved impressive success at the “Olympics of Robots” (First Global Challenge), held in the Republic of Panama from October 29 to November 1.

The Turkmen team secured the 1st-degree diploma in one of the key categories — the “Skills Challenge.” This nomination assesses how successfully robots perform individual autonomous tasks.

Under the competition rules, the robot created by our team successfully completed the entire set of required tasks in just 50 seconds, earning 54.6 points. According to the judges’ decision, the second place in this category went to the team from Armenia, and the third to the representatives of the People’s Republic of China.

More than 970 young engineers from 194 countries participated in the “First Global Challenge 2025” international robotics competition, which has been held since 2017.

Turkmenistan was represented by the “Oguzrobot” team, composed of students from Specialized Secondary School No. 97 in Ashgabat: Charyyev Ysmayyl, Gylychmuhammedov Emirhan, Cholukow Aznawur, Gulov Shirmuhammet, and Orazgeldiyev Gurbangeldi. Under the guidance of experienced teacher Myrat Sahetgulyyev, the schoolchildren prepared for this international competition at the “Kämil bilim” educational center.

This remarkable success by Turkmen schoolchildren in the year of International Peace and Trust is clear evidence of the priority attention given to developing the national education system at the international level.
