Cyber ​​Security: new tasks set

“Cyber ​​Security Certification Department” was proposed to open in the Main Office of the State Service “Türkmenstandartlary”. This section will be opened to ensure that software and technical equipment produced and imported domestically is properly certified.

In accordance with the “State Program of Cyber ​​Security of Turkmenistan” and the “Plan of Implementation of the State Program of Cyber ​​Security of Turkmenistan for 2017-2021”, approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed on June 7, 2017, “Turkmenstandartlary” the Main State Agency has been entrusted with the task of inspecting and certifying the technical equipment and software used in the production of cyber security.

At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers our esteemed President said that the development of national standards and methods in the field of information security, including compliance with international standards and technical regulations, is one of the priorities for the further development of Turkmenistan.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal and instructed Deputy Prime Minister G. Mushshikov, together with the Deputy Prime Ministers, to take appropriate measures to implement the “State Program for Cyber ​​Security” in Turkmenistan.
