Ancient pottery belongs to Parthian era is found in the East of Ashgabat

Ancient pottery has been discovered in the east of Ashgabat. This was announced at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. As a result of in-depth study of this area, experts from the Department of Protection, Study and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Turkmenistan found that ceramic products exist. These archaeological finds confirm the antiquity of the Turkmen capital, TDH mentioned.

The finds were found to be 1 meter high and 60 centimetres in diameter, and the signs outside them belonged to the Parthian state.

After listening to the report, the President instructed to hold a presentation and present them to the museums of the country after studying the findings on a scientific basis.

Archaeological and architectural monuments preserved in the Turkmen land tell a lot to generations. Many of those monuments are evidence of a booming life along the trade routes of the Great Silk Road.
