Ambassador of Turkmenistan met with First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia D. Seyitmammedov met with First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia I.Bagaturia.

In the course of the meeting, the sides noted with satisfaction the active growth of Turkmen-Georgian relations in all speres, stressing in particular that cultural exchanges make an important and positive contribution to the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador noted that the solemn events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi are taking place in Turkmenistan and abroad.

İ.Bagaturia once again thanked the Turkmen side for the opportunity to participate in the opening ceremony of the monuments of Magtymguly Fragi and Shota Rustaveli in Ashgabat. At the same time, he stressed that joint cultural events dedicated to the great Turkmen poet will be held in Georgia throughout the year.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the issues of holding the Days of Turkmen culture in Georgia. They expressed confidence that it will contribute to the popularization of national culture, art, literature and history of the Turkmen people, further enrichment of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries and peoples.
