Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanow provided information about work in the energy sector.
It was noted that the “Türkmengaz” state concern and the “Türkmengeologiýa” state corporation are taking necessary measures to increase the volume of hydrocarbon resources and explore and develop the country’s oil and gas fields. In this regard, exploratory and assessment wells are planned to be drilled in the Ahal, Lebap, and Mary regions.
As a result of drilling activities conducted in the Lebap region, a significant industrial gas flow was obtained. This will enable an increase in the volume of extracted natural gas.
The President highlighted the importance of exploring and developing oil and gas fields for increasing oil and natural gas production. Effective work is being carried out by Turkmen geologists in this area.
In this context, the President pointed out the importance of carrying out all necessary operations for the operation of the newly discovered gas field and instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to continuously pursue drilling exploratory and assessment wells across the country.
