On September 30, 2019, the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres was held in the framework of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New-York.
In the beginning of the meeting, the warm greetings on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan were conveyed.
During the constructive talks, the parties touched upon a wide range of issues pertaining to cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN.
The United Nations Secretary-General noted with content the efforts of Turkmenistan on providing peace and stability in the region and highly appraised the international initiatives of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov aimed at the resolution of current problems existing on the global agenda.
