Ashgabat will become a meeting point for global capital. On October 1–2, the Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026 (TIF 2026) will take place in Ashgabat, bringing together representatives of business, government institutions and international financial organisations from more than 45 countries.
The Forum will be held at the Ýyldyz Hotel in the year marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. It is organised by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in partnership with Turkmen Congress.
The list of participants brings together officials from the host country, regional governments and representatives of private capital, including Mammetguly Astanagulov, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan; Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Economy of Armenia; H.H. Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, Chairman of Najd Gate Holding; Hamad Mohammed Al-Nasr, Director of Trade Development and Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the State of Qatar; Yeom Kihun, President of ONU H&C Co., Ltd.; and Dr. Mahdi Heidari, Deputy Minister of Economy of Iran and Head of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran.
The Forum will also bring together representatives of the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA).
The program focuses on investment opportunities and promising areas of cooperation, including energy and petrochemicals, the green transition, transport corridors and the Caspian region, the digital economy and artificial intelligence, agribusiness, tourism, urban infrastructure and water resources.
TIF 2026 is an international platform for advancing major investment initiatives and strengthening business cooperation. By bringing together ministers, sovereign investors, international financial institutions and business representatives, the Forum creates opportunities to move from interest in Turkmenistan towards concrete projects, partnerships and new opportunities for the country’s economic development.
