Turkmen Embassy in Brussels hosts meeting with university students

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium hosted a meeting with a group of 30 university students from Asian countries, primarily the People’s Republic of China. The event took place as part of an educational program designed to familiarize participants with the activities of European Union institutions and diplomatic missions.

Ambassador Sapar Palvanov briefed the attendees on the daily operations of the diplomatic mission, the key priorities of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, and the country’s core principles of permanent neutrality and peacebuilding. The students were also informed about Turkmenistan’s international initiatives in sustainable development, the upcoming celebrations for the 35th anniversary of independence, and the national motto of the year.

Special attention during the discussion was given to the historical and cultural significance of Akhal-Teke horses, as well as upcoming specialized events dedicated to the breed in the Netherlands.

The event concluded with an interactive quiz on the history and culture of Turkmenistan, with winners receiving commemorative prizes, including a traditional Turkmen carpet. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions regarding diplomatic service, Turkmenistan-EU cooperation, and the nation’s global initiatives.
