Article on “Reasonable Artificial Intelligence” Published in the Global Journalists Council Magazine

The article “Journalism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Reasonable Artificial Intelligence” has been published in the latest issue of the Global Journalists Council (GJC) electronic magazine.

The article examines the impact of artificial intelligence on journalism, the new opportunities it creates, the challenges it presents, and the importance of using these technologies in a responsible and reasonable manner.

In recent years, one of the most widely discussed concepts in the field of artificial intelligence has been “Responsible AI.” The author of the article, Dr. Dowran Orazgylyjov, acknowledges the importance of this approach while proposing a broader concept: “Reasonable Artificial Intelligence (Reasonable AI).” According to the author, artificial intelligence should not only be responsible but should also make decisions that are fair, balanced, proportionate, and appropriate to the circumstances. This idea is inspired by the long-established “reasonable person” standard in legal systems, which emphasizes sound judgment in addition to compliance with rules.

The article also emphasizes that artificial intelligence should not replace journalists but rather serve as a tool that supports their work and improves efficiency. It further highlights the growing importance of accuracy, reliability, copyright protection, privacy, and journalistic ethics in the AI era.

The Global Journalists Council (GJC) is a respected international media organization based in Türkiye, bringing together thousands of journalists, media professionals, and academics from around the world. The Council actively promotes press freedom, professional journalism, international media cooperation, and the development of the media sector through conferences, training programs, international forums, and regular publications.

Dr. Dowran Orazgylyjov has served for several years as the Turkmenistan Representative of the Global Journalists Council, contributing to the organization’s international activities.

The publication of Dr. Dowran Orazgylyjov’s article in the GJC magazine represents an important contribution to the ongoing international academic and professional discussions on artificial intelligence, journalism, and media ethics.
