National Leader of Turkmenistan Meets with Head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society in Vienna

On 9 April 2026, in Vienna, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, Neda Berger, as part of his visit to Austria, as reported by TDH.

During the meeting, Neda Berger noted that the current visit of the National Leader to the friendly country would be an important step towards strengthening interstate relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.

Thanking her for the kind words, Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significant contribution of Neda Berger, who has headed the Turkmen-Austrian Society for many years, to the activation of comprehensive relations between the two countries.

The National Leader highly appreciated the activities of the Turkmen-Austrian Society and noted that the agreements reached at its regularly held meetings open new horizons for mutually beneficial partnership in the trade, financial, and investment spheres.

Berdimuhamedov stated that bilateral cultural and humanitarian ties are consistently strengthening. In this context, special emphasis was placed on the role of the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra “Galkynyş”, which brings together talented artists from both countries and serves as a unique bridge between the cultures of the East and the West.

It was emphasized that the consistent support from the leadership of Turkmenistan for cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries and their peoples forms the foundation for their steady development.

At the end of the meeting, both sides highlighted the enormous potential of humanitarian cooperation and expressed their readiness to further strengthen it.
