On April 7, 2026, a delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs A. Gurbanov held a meeting with Mr. Cha Young Ho, Commissioner of the Immigration Service of the Republic of Korea. During the talks, which took place in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of migration and consular affairs.
During the meeting, the Turkmen side put forward a number of proposals aimed at ensuring favorable conditions for mutual travel of citizens of both countries, as well as the reliable protection of their rights and legitimate interests.
Special attention was given to improving the legal and contractual framework of bilateral cooperation in the field of migration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing constructive dialogue, noting that its development serves the interests of both states and corresponds to the high level of bilateral relations.
