Turkmenistan and UAE to Develop Economic Cooperation Program

Turkmenistan and the UAE intend to intensify their economic cooperation. This topic was discussed during a meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, on 4 February in Abu Dhabi. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties paid particular attention to the intensification of joint large-scale projects, specifically in the energy and transport-logistics sectors.

“In this context, the expediency of preparing an Economic Cooperation Program between Turkmenistan and the UAE was emphasized,” the press release from the Turkmen foreign ministry stated.

Additionally, the sides exchanged views on several topics on the regional and international agenda.

The delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Rashid Meredov, visited Dubai to participate in the World Government Summit. On the sidelines of the summit, Meredov held meetings with the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, ADNOC General director.
