On November 4, 2025, President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Allaberdi Ashirov took part in the meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, held at the Presidium Building of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, members of its Presidium, as well as heads and representatives of the academies of sciences of Türkiye, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, China, Vietnam, Italy, Bulgaria, Montenegro, and international scientific organizations.
In his remarks, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academician Isa Habibbayli, emphasized that the anniversary meeting will contribute to the further development of the Academy’s international scientific cooperation and the establishment of new partnership ties.

On behalf of the Turkmen side, the President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the leadership and staff of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan on the 80th anniversary of the Academy. He noted that, thanks to the efforts of the Heads of State of the two countries, cooperation in the fields of science, education, and culture continues to develop consistently.
It was highlighted that, within the framework of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, works of Magtymguly Fragi have been translated into the Azerbaijani language, and the Magtymguly Fragi Turkmen Literature Center was established at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. A number of international scientific conferences dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker have also been held.
Participants from foreign countries also delivered congratulatory remarks and discussed prospects for further cooperation in the fields of science and innovative technologies.
