From 13 to 16 October 2025, a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Communications Mr. Berdi Berdiyew paid a working visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at the invitation of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) to participate in the international technology exhibition and conference GITEX Global 2025.
The event served as an important platform for exchanging experience and exploring cooperation in digital transformation, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and data governance.
The Turkmen delegation visited key pavilions, including the Main Government Pavilion, as well as the stands of TDRA and Digital Dubai, where the latest government digital initiatives were presented.
On 15 October, the delegation held an official meeting with Mr. Younus Al Nasser, CEO of the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment (DDaSE), affiliated with the Digital Dubai Authority, and with Eng. Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
During the discussions, the sides considered opportunities for cooperation in data management, digital public services, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and training of ICT specialists.
The Turkmen side invited both Digital Dubai and TDRA to participate in the international exhibition and conference «Turkmentel-2025», to be held in Ashgabat on 12-14 November 2025, and proposed organizing a bilateral disscussions on digital government, data management, and cybersecurity.
The Emirati side expressed readiness for practical cooperation and agreed to continue coordination on specific areas of joint work.
Participation in GITEX Global 2025 reaffirmed the shared commitment of Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates to strengthen partnership and exchange best practices in the sphere of digital innovation.
