Turkmen schoolchildren participated in the Junior Mental Calculation World Championship

The Junior Mental Calculation World Championship was held from October 4 to 6 in Bielefeld, Germany. Eight schoolchildren from our country took part in the championship and performed successfully. This was reported by the “Kämil bilim” education center.

According to the rules of the international competition, participants competed to correctly answer, from memory, questions within 2 hours. The questions consisted of approximately 30 pages and covered 23 mathematics topics. They were also given additional assignments on 5 topics.

More than 100 juniors from twenty countries, such as France, the Czech Republic, Japan, India, Mexico, Egypt, the UAE, and the Republic of South Africa, participated in the championship. Our schoolchildren competed in the “Under 12” and “12-15 years” age groups and managed to place in the top ten.

The results are as follows:

“Participation in this international competition gave our students a valuable opportunity to gain experience and build new friendships. Since most team members were competing in such a large-scale event for the first time, scoring over 2000 points is considered a high achievement. This result marks an important step toward future success,” shared Dovletmyrat Durdymammedov, Deputy Director of the “Kämil bilim” educational centers.

The successful performance of our schoolchildren in Bielefeld, Germany, is a clear testament to the great attention paid to the modern development of our country’s education system.
