On September 14-15, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is in Doha, State of Qatar, to participate in an extraordinary meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member countries of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as in an emergency Arab-Islamic summit.
As is known, Turkmenistan expressed its official position in connection with the events that took place in Qatar, emphasizing the inadmissibility of the use of force to resolve international issues, which contradicts the principles of the UN Charter and the generally recognized principles of international law.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
During the meeting, R. Meredov conveyed to the Qatari side the greetings of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
