On August 25, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and also emphasized the importance of interaction in the international political arena.
In this context, the heads of the foreign policy agencies agreed to continue an active political dialogue, including negotiations and contacts at the level of foreign ministers in accordance with the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2025-2026, signed in Ashgabat in June of this year.
