During their visit to Qatar, delegates from Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Education engaged in fruitful discussions with their Qatari counterparts

As part of an official visit to the State of Qatar, a delegation from Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Education held a series of significant meetings with representatives of Qatar’s educational institutions. The discussions were conducted in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and focused on strengthening cooperation in the field of education.

Special attention was given to the meeting with Ms. Laalei Abualfain, Director of the Department of International Relations, and Ms. Amal Yousef Al Emadi, Head of the International Relations Department for Asia and Africa Affairs. During the discussions, both parties emphasized the importance of expanding connections between the educational institutions of the two countries. Topics included joint scientific research, experience exchange, and the organization of academic programs for students and faculty. Additionally, the Turkmen side expressed interest in the mutual participation of youth, including school students and university students, in international Olympiads across various disciplines organized in both Qatar and Turkmenistan.

An important highlight of the discussions was the meeting with Qatar’s Head of the School Education Department. The dialogue centered around exchanging best practices in primary and secondary education. The Turkmen delegation expressed strong interest in learning from Qatar’s expertise in modern educational technologies and innovative teaching methods. The talks also explored opportunities for collaboration on teacher training programs and initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive education to support children with special needs.

Additionally, the parties addressed the significance of the previously signed 2023 Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Youth, signed in Doha. This document represents an important step in implementing joint programs aimed at supporting young specialists, exchanging experiences, and creating innovative platforms for cultural and educational interaction. The memorandum underscores the shared values and aspirations of the two countries to create conditions for youth development as the leaders of tomorrow.

The Turkmen delegation noted that strengthening educational ties between the two nations is a vital step in preparing a new generation capable of meeting the challenges of the modern world.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegation also expressed gratitude to the Qatari side for their readiness to collaborate and emphasized that the agreements reached would open new horizons for the joint development of the educational systems of both countries.

This visit serves as yet another testament to the strengthening of friendly and partnership relations between Turkmenistan and Qatar, particularly in the field of education, which remains the foundation of sustainable development and cultural exchange.
