The 11th “China-Central Asia” Cooperation Forum was held

During the period of 25 – 28 October 2024, the 11th “China-Central Asia” Cooperation Forum was held in Yinchuan, Ningxia Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China.

At the opening ceremony, the welcoming speech was delivered by Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).The ceremony was also attended by leaders of the autonomous region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, heads of delegations from Central Asian countries, including representatives of diplomatic missions, business associations, universities, enterprises and others.

In his speech, Counsellor of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China B.Klychmamedov underlined that balanced, environmentally oriented economic development is one of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan.  In this context, the diplomat told about Turkmenistan’s environmental initiatives, including the successful introduction of digital and green technologies in the construction of the smart city Arkadag.

The Forum featured various events, including a photo exhibition, joint tree planting at the China-Central Asia Friendship Alley, and a parallel forum on regional cooperation.

At the end of the Forum, the “Initiative of the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum” was announced.
