The Central Eurasia @ Silicon Valley 2024 scientific conference and startup exhibition took place in San Francisco, California, one of the world’s technology hubs. A representative from the Ata Watan media group also participated in the event.
This important event aimed to connect startups, investors, and IT professionals from the Central Eurasian region with Silicon Valley’s renowned technology ecosystem. More than 100 startup companies from Central Asia and Eurasia participated in the event.
The event seeks to enhance the region’s innovation potential, promote knowledge exchange, and drive economic development. Participants were fully acquainted with new job opportunities and collaboration plans, and several important meetings were held.
The opening ceremony featured notable attendees, including Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital, Innovations & Aerospace of Kazakhstan; Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO of Coursera; Nitin Pachisia, Founding Partner of Unshackled Ventures; Arvind Jain, CEO of Glean; Alex Dang, Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Company; and leaders from several world-renowned companies.
The organizer of the event, Asset Abdualiyev, Founder & CEO of Silkroad Innovation Hub, gave a special interview to the Ata Watan media group, expressing hopes for the participation of Turkmen startups in next year’s event.
During the event, a competition was held among startup founders. According to the competition rules, startups met with investors and presented the advantages of investing in their startups within a one-minute timeframe. Various prizes were awarded to the winners.
The event also featured the sale of various local dishes, including pilaf, samsa, and gutap.
