A Photo exhibition dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi opened in Tbilisi

On 26 July 2024, within the framework of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, a photo exhibition “Magtymguly Fragi: a view from Georgia” opened at Akhundov House Gallery. The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.

The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia, representatives of ministries and agancies of Georgia,  professional and amateur photographers, artists and cultural figures, representatives of scientific intelligentsia, as well as mass media.

The photo exhibition featured more than 50 works by Turkmen artists depicting famous events from the life of Magtymguly. The exposition of pictures was held against the background of Turkmen national music.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. He noted that the event will contribute to wider familiarization of the world community with the works of Magtymguly Fragi, strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the brotherly peoples.

Head of Krsanis district of Tbilisi Mr. Beka Mikautadze also addressed the guests. He congratulated Turkmenistan on the 300th anniversary of Magtymguli Fragi and noted that the cultural and humanitarian sphere is an integral part of the modern Turkmen-Georgian interstate dialogue. He wished the photo exhibition a success and stressed that holding such events will contribute to further strengthening relations in the sphere of culture, science and education between Turkmenistan and Georgia.
