Korean companies are interested in participating in the major projects in Turkmenistan

On April 7, 2023 Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Begench Durdyyev met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Kang Jae Kwon in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Seoul.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation in such areas as political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields. The diplomats emphasized the high importance of the contacts at the highest and high levels between two countries for expanding the friendly bilateral relations.

The sides also discussed the importance of the previous high-level summits, as well as the ways for the successful accomplishment of the future tasks. In particular, the parties reviewed the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of our esteemed Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Seoul in November 2022.

The sides noted that the Korean companies have huge opportunities and high potential for their activities in Turkmenistan. Deputy Minister Kang Jae Kwon stated that major Korean companies are interested in participating in the major projects in Turkmenistan, including the Arkadag city’s construction project.

The diplomats also paid special attention to the issues related to organizing of joint events and meetings in various fields throughout the year.
