On June 16, 2022, in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was held a meeting of the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Ch.Rustamova with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng.
During the meeting, the parties stated with satisfaction the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in cultural-humanitarian sphere, including in archaeological research of the Silk Road. In particular, the role of the creation of the Scientific-research center in this area was noted.
Within the framework of the meeting, the development of inter-regional cooperation between the countries through the expansion of the relations of the sister cities was also considered.
