A meeting on implementation of a Framework Cooperation Program between Turkmenistan and the UN in the sphere of Sustainable Development for 2021-2025

On May 24, 2022, a meeting of Joint Steering and Coordinating Committee on implementation of a Framework Cooperation Program between Turkmenistan and the UN in the sphere of Sustainable Development for 2021-2025 was held in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The leaders and officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, representatives of corresponding ministries and agencies of the country, as well as the heads and representatives of the UN agencies working in Ashgabat attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the main achievements in the implementation of the Framework Program for Cooperation (CPF) in 2021, the progress of the implementation of the CPF Financing Plan and the Resource Mobilization and Partnership Strategy, as well as the draft Action Plan for 2022 for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN on climate change mitigation and adaptation were considered.
