German Economy Days in Turkmenistan will be held

The meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy Michael Harms took place via videoconferencing.

During the constructive talk, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral collaboration. The positive pace of development of trade-economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany was noted.

The necessity of intensifying bilateral contacts on key vectors of bilateral agenda was underlined, as well as the importance of continuing effective partnership through the Turkmen-German Working Group.

In this respect, the parties also considered the opportunities of holding meetings in the format of a videoconference between the leadership of profile ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and the trade-economic entities of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The practicality of continuing the positive practice of conducting Turkmen-German Business Forums was underlined. The expediency of holding the seventh round of German Economy Days in Turkmenistan in the near future was expressed.

The parties also highlighted the efficiency of long-term cooperation of two countries in the banking sphere, where the Turkmen banks have established reliable ties with such banks as the Deutsche Bank and the Commerzbank.
