On the 10th of March 2021, an awards ceremony of the presidential and state honors on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, President of the National Olympic Committee Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the sportsmen of the country who have achieved high results in the official international and national competitions was held in the conference hall of the capital hotel “Sport”.
The Chairwoman of the Parliament of Turkmenistan G.Mammedova made an opening speech at the event. Then the Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M.Mammedova red the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on awarding the merited sportsmen of the country.
On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the Chairwoman of the Parliament of Turkmenistan presented the state medals. Thus, the Turkmen weight-lifter Yulduz Jumabayeva was awarded with the Medal “For Love to the Motherland”, as well as with the Lexus LX 570 Sport Plus model car. The faculty member of the School of High Sport Mastership Meretguly Sahetmyradov was awarded with the Medal “For Love to the Motherland” and received the keys of a new apartment. By the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdiniyaz Myatiyev was awarded with the Medal “Gayrat”.
As known, Turkmenistan actively implements the sport diplomacy. Special attention is paid in the country to the sports of high achievements and to the mass physical culture movement which hold the priority place in the state policy of Turkmenistan.
Upon the end of the awards ceremony, its participants adopted an Address to the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
