Turkmen citizens have been brought from Russia on a charter flight

A long-haul Boeing-777-200LR aircraft of Turkmen Airlines landed at the International Airport of Turkmenabat, delivering Turkmen citizens from Russia to Turkmenistan who had to stay in this country after the cessation of flights due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The airport information service told that a special flight from Moscow with 272 passengers on board was organized on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), all citizens arriving on a charter flight from Russia will undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine.

As we know, Turkmenistan has already organized charter flights to Turkmenabat from Belarus and India for the return of citizens who couldn’t return earlier for the above reason.
