A meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov. The talks took place via videoconferencing.
During the constructive conversation, the heads of MFAs considered the agenda of bilateral relations, as well as exchanged views concerning the preparations to the Third Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of the Central Asian region to be held in the city of Bishkek.
Also, the Ministers considered pertinent issues of bilateral collaboration, and the subject of resuming regular meetings between the government and private sectors of the two countries in the given context.
Political-diplomatic cooperation develops consistently
The heads of external policy agencies noted that political-diplomatic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic develops consistently. Mutual support of the initiatives and undertakings of two states in the framework of respected international organizations makes a valuable input into the advancement of mutually beneficial collaboration in all the fields posing reciprocal interest.
In view of the pandemic situation on the global scale, the diplomats also paid special attention to the development of regional collaboration for further reinforcement of unity, stability and solidarity.
