Russia to begin vaccine trials on 40,000 people next week

Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev announced to the Russian press that the “Sputnik V” vaccine developed by Russia against coronavirus will be applied to 40 thousand people next week.

Denis Logunov, Deputy Director of the Gamaleya Epidemiology and Microbiology Research Institute, provided the latest information about the vaccine on the internet, he said that: “Until now, the vaccine has been applied to volunteers between 18 and 60 years old. The vaccine was developed primarily for people without the virus, but it can also be applied to people who are infected with the virus”.
